The human body is an incredible and complex system. It can heal itself and is so advanced we are still in wonder of what it can really do. Today I wanted to have a look at some strange and unusual things about the human body.

Did you know that humans shed about 600,000 particles of skin per hour? This is also equivalent to 1.5lbs per year.

Do you know what Athazagoraphobia is? It is the fear of being forgotten or ignored. 

Did you know that your mouth produces approximately one litre of saliva per day?

Did you know that humans are taller in the am? Throughout the day gravity compresses the discs in the spine causing people to lose some of their height.

Did you know the fastest growing hair on the human body is the beard? If the average man never trimmed his beard it would grow to 30 feet long in his lifetime.

Did you know people that dream more often and more vividly have higher IQ's?

Did you know that everyone has a unique scent except identical twins? They smell the same.

Did you know the fastest growing finger nail is the middle finger? All the more reason to use it!!

Did you know the human heart beats more than 3 billion times in an average lifetime?

Did you know humans are the only species that can blush?

Did you know human teeth are as strong as sharks teeth?

Did you know that people suffer from Exploding head Syndrome? This causes them to hear a loud bang when they wake up. Sounds terrifying!

Did you know your blood makes up 8% of your body weight?
